Pc-Perspective hat einen Test zum ASRock P55 Deluxe veröffentlich. Das Sockel 1156 Mainboard basiert auf dem P55 Chipsatz von Intel und bietet Unterstützung für SLI/CrossFire. Im Gegensatz zu den neuen Extre3/Deluxe3 Boards von ASRock bietet es allerdings keine SATA3/USB3 Unterstützung.

ASRock is a relatively new company to the motherboard scene, but their latest P55 lineup includes a few good offerings for both AMD and Intel platforms in the budget and higher-end class of motherboards.

Hardwareoverclock hat einen Test zum Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD7 veröffentlicht. Das Sockel 1156 Mainboard auf Basis des P55 Chipsatz ist aktuell Gigabyts absolute Highendlösung für den Sockel 1156. Es bietet neben SATA3 und USB3 auch Anschlüsse für eine Wasserkühlung.

Wir hatten auch schon das X58 in der UD7 Variante und so ist uns auch gleich aufgefallen, dass die Boards sich sehr ähnlich sind. Nicht nur was das Design und die Kühlung betrifft, sondern auch die technischen Features sind sehr ähnlich.

Techgage hat einen Test zum ASUS P7P55D-E PRO veröffentlicht. Das P55 Mainboard für die Intel Sockel 1156 CPUs und bietet SATA3 sowie USB 3 Unterstützung.  Um der Bandbreitenproblematik des P55 Chipsatzes zu entgehen nutzt ASUS für den SATA3 und USB 3 Chip einen speziellen PLX Bridge Chip der mehrere PCIe Lanes des P55 Chipsatz bündelt. Zudem biete das Board zwei PEG Slots mit Unterstützung für SLI und CrossFire, wobei im Dualbetrieb beide mit maximal 8 Lanes angebunden sind.

PcTreiber.Net berichtet über eine beunruhigende Entdeckung von Anandtech. Demnach gibt es offenbar Probleme mit den Sockel 1156 die von Foxconn gefertigt werden. Da Foxconn ein großer Auftragsfertiger für eben solche Teile ist, sind entsprechende Sockel auf vielen P55 Mainboards verbaut.

Madshrimps hat einen Vergleich von gleich drei verschiedenen Sockel 1156 Mainboards mit Intel P55 Chipsatz veröffentlicht. Mit dem P55-UD6 von Gigabyte und dem P55-GD80 von MSI gibt es zwei Highendbretter. Mit dem P55-UD3 von Gigabyte ein Mainstreamboard.
